Michael McHugh: Our Founder

Our founder Michael McHugh has worked in community services and education for the vast majority of his working life. His involvement in the Disability sector dates back to the nineties when he played a key role in the coordination and implementation of the Disability Services Act, assisting people with a Disability to move from institutions to the group residences operating today.
Michael has shown a constant commitment to caring for people in the Aged Care sector. This tireless work has included Dementia support and community work and developing Older Men’s Groups across Sydney to help alleviate depression and suicide in this vulnerable group.
Michael was the founder of Edutemps, an organisation that has since become a leader amongst Education services companies and consultancies in Australia. His own experience with a child with a disability and struggling to manage what was unresponsive and poorly targetted support systems led him to apply his skills and experience in education to provide a much-needed boost in this vital sector.
Over many cups of coffee with colleagues in the industry, Michael decided to establish Consider Care. This idea would centre upon the creation of an organisation designed to be a provider of excellence in training for the Care sector, a commitment we continue to uphold today.
